Angel Olsen

Angel Olsen is an American singer-songwriter from St. Louis, Missouri who lives in Asheville North Carolina. As of now, Olsen has released six studio albums: Half Way Home Burn Your Fire for No Witness My Woman All Mirrors, Whole New Mess and Big Time. Olsen posted on her social media accounts that she had come out as gay in the year 2021's beginning. Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Olsen began performing in the city's cafes during her teens, before becoming more independent and tapping into an artist community of similar interests. The path she took to success began in Chicago and she was working with Emmett Kelly of California as a part his Cairo Gang collective. All Mirrors, her previous album released in 2019, was a mix of dark gothic-synth rock and moving excursions into orchestral pop. Big Time marks the debut album on which Olsen sings about the love of her life. It is also her first attempt at traditional music, like country. This makes sense.
